The incident took place on the evening of June 30 last year in the hall of an apartment building in Prague 10. According to the indictment, a man from Ukraine attacked a seven-year-old friend of his wife, with whom he was in divorce proceedings at the time, with a knife.

“The main motivating emotions of the accused were jealousy, rage and the desire to carry out essential revenge,” said prosecutor Miroslav Mojžíš.

According to the indictment, he stabbed the victim three times in the head and eleven more in the chest, abdomen and shoulders. At the end of the attack, he cut off his penis. The victim died within minutes due to bleeding from wounds to the lungs and heart.

In his statement on Tuesday, the foreigner admitted that he had a fight with his ex-wife’s friend. However, he stated that he did not know him and did not know about the relationship with his ex-wife. He approached him because he parked in his ex-wife’s spot. He wanted to ask him about his daughter. According to him, however, the man began to behave rudely, arrogantly and tried to provoke a conflict. “I was unarmed the whole time, nor did I threaten him with a weapon,” said the defendant.

According to the defendant, the second man started the fight. According to his testimony, he only defended himself, he received a blow to the face in the eye area. “I don’t remember anything after that,” he declared. He added that he has been carrying a knife behind his belt for a long time. “It is possible that I used the knife in a state of panic,” he said. He believes he acted reflexively.

The court will also question witnesses and experts in the case. The main trial has been ordered until Friday.
