Justice continued to keep Jiří L., the defendant in the burning of Český Švýcarsk, in custody. According to Deník, he initially confessed to the big fire in 2022, as well as to smaller previous ones. But then the big one changed his mind in custody. ČTK reported on the extension of detention on Tuesday, April 2.

The former park ranger faces up to 15 years in prison for public endangerment and damage to another’s property. The last time he decided on the extension of Jiří L.’s detention District Court in DěčínTo the Regional Court in Ústí nad Labem se she returned the item again due to the fact that in recent weeks the plaintiff supplemented the amount of damage at the request of the judiciary, and the case once again found itself in preliminary proceedings from the investigation. According to the investigators, the man caused damage of 350 million crowns with all his actions.
