The first babies of this year visited the Pilsen Region office together with their parents.
The meeting of the governor with the first female citizens born that year has been a tradition of the Pilsen region for many years. This year, the governor of the Pilsen region, Rudolf Špoták, welcomed the first girl and first boys to the regional office on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
The first baby of the Pilsen Region in 2024 is Rozálie, who was born on 01/01/2024 at 0:05 in the Pilsen University Hospital. The first boy was born on January 1, 2024 at 7:43 a.m. and he is Tadeáš, who of course was followed at 7:45 a.m. by his brother Tobiáš, again born at the Pilsen University Hospital.
The parents of the babies had the opportunity to have an informal discussion with the governor. They talked about the availability of health care in the region, about parenting and, of course, about politics.
“I really like such meetings, they always take me out of the routine of the many official meetings that I have every day. At least I have the opportunity to talk with the parents about what is troubling them and what the region can try to help them with,” Governor Rudolf Špoták commented on the meeting.
All citizens received a check for 10,000 CZK and small souvenirs.
