Right on the road in Prague 5, rescue workers had to revive a driver who had collapsed behind the wheel of his car. Another driver noticed him and called for help, and the police in cooperation with the fire department got him out of the locked car.
A man felt sick in his car on Monday, March 25, when he was driving through Prague 5. The car stopped in the middle of the road, he passed out, stopping traffic.
“It was the driver of the vehicle that remained blocked behind him who decided to get out and find out what happened here. He saw at first sight that something was wrong with the man behind the wheel and immediately called for help. Thanks to the immediate response of the whistleblower, it was possible to call the components of the integrated rescue system to the scene in a very short time.” a police spokeswoman said on the website Kristýna Soukupová.
The driver did not respond to the knocking on the window, the door was locked, so the police had to force open the car. One of the officers pulled out a baton and smashed the back window.
“The called patrol freed the man from the vehicle in cooperation with the fire brigade. The man was immediately taken into the care of the emergency services, which started resuscitation on the spot and transferred him to the university hospital for further treatment.” added Soukupová.
