Czech Republic – Finland 4:0. The women’s representatives started the WC with zero

The Czech women’s hockey players entered the basic group at the World Championship with a 4-0 victory over Finland. The goals were scored by Adéla Šapovalivová, Klára Hymlárová, Natálie Mlýnková and Tereza Plosová. Klára Peslarová kept a clean sheet.

Finland is basically a fatal opponent for the Czech women’s national team. While the USA and Canada remain behind, the Czechs and Finns have been fighting for the bronze medal in recent years.

The balance between the two teams is illustrated by the results from the past and this year’s preparations: sometimes the Czech Republic has a better day, other times Finland. Now, on the opening day of the world championship in Utica, the Czech Republic had one of those.
