Ústí Region – The Ústí Region’s support for the Ústí Region under the subsidy program “Support for the development of tourism infrastructure in the Ústí Region 2024” has increased to 27 million crowns out of the expected 20 million crowns. The representatives thus decided to support all 21 duly submitted projects of municipalities, cities and destination agencies.
“By increasing the funds, we were able to satisfy all applicants and, above all, contribute to building the infrastructure necessary for the development of tourism. Whether it’s parking lots, sanitary facilities, shelters or facilities on cycle paths, all activities will increase the comfort of tourists and visitors to our region and contribute to the further development of this area,” said Deputy Minister for Tourism Jiří Řehák.
The call for the subsidy program “Support for the development of tourism infrastructure in the Ústí Region 2024” with a financial allocation of 20 million crowns was announced in the fall of last year. Compared to previous calls, the supported activities have been expanded to include the building of social facilities at tourist attractions or accompanying infrastructure along backbone cycle routes , project documentation for cycle paths, etc.
The representatives approved support for 21 projects in the amount of approximately 27.1 million crowns.
Beneficiaries of the subsidy include, for example, Krásná Lípa with a project to build an area for motorhomes, Brozany with plans to build a stellplatz and a cycle point on the Ohře cycle path. The Krušnohoří Destination Agency is planning to build shelters in the Ore Mountains or a parking lot for cross-country skiers in Petrovice, Terezín is preparing a redesign of the info center, Jílové or Roudnice nad Labem are planning to build a social facility, Bílina is planning to build a parking lot near the Fairy Tale Forest, similar to Úštěk. Other projects focus, for example, on cycling infrastructure.
