Legion Train 2024

When: from 23.4. until 28.4. weekdays 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., weekends 9 a.m. – 7 p.m

Why come: The legion train is made up of 14 carefully reconstructed wagons, representing a military convoy. These trains were used to transport tens of thousands of Czechoslovak legionnaires in the years 1918-1920 through Russia along the Trans-Siberian highway, they often had to fight the Bolsheviks through the passage. The legionary train includes field post cars, troop cars, medical, film, command, staff, armored, sales, tailor, blacksmith (reconstructed in Slovakia), accommodation and two platform cars. In each car, visitors can look forward to an authentic reconstruction of equipment, legionnaires in period uniforms, as well as original exhibits and hundreds of photographs on panels that map the history of the Czechoslovak legions.

Beekeeping with Karolina

Why come: You can look forward to a lecture by the young beekeeper Karolína Klírová about the life of bees, which will be complemented by practical experience from her own beekeeping.

Exhibition: Chus vydrus

When: from 26 April to 6 October, Tuesday to Sunday 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. / 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Why come: The exhibition presents the first comic on large panels, created by children from the MOP Volavka Třeboň section under the leadership of Václav Bartuška. The story is about the life of an otter and her aquatic friends and enemies. It has a unique sense of humor that appeals not only to children, but also to their parents. The exhibition is complemented by preparations from the museum’s collections, which can change the way you look at this endangered animal.

Exhibition of historic vehicles

When: from 27.4. until 4/30, always from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 5/1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Rokycany winter stadium
For how much: 150 CZK, children under 120 cm free
Why come: The Rokycany Historic Vehicle Club organizes a traditional exhibition of historic vehicles. The exhibition includes over 200 exhibits. A special train will be sent from Pilsen to Rokycan. An escort in period costume will be prepared in Rokycany. A restaurant will be open at the winter stadium for the entire duration of the exhibition.

Children’s theater – How the gravedigger outwitted death

Why come: The Zbiroh women’s club invites you to a pajama party where DJ Martin will perform. Refreshments will be available.

Rokycanský krpaly 2024

When: Sunday, April 28, from 9 a.m

Why come: The association ROKYCANŠTÍ PATRIOTI organizes on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 9.30 a.m. VIII. year of the amateur mountain bike race ROKYCANSKÝ KRPÁLY 2024. The 54 kilometer long XC/M route with an elevation gain of almost 1,200 meters is suitable for the general public and will take participants to all the important peaks in the vicinity of Rokycan – Žďár, Hrádecký vrch, Kouklova hora, Konesův vrch, Kotel, Marshal and Chile. During the ride, you will enjoy the beautiful landscape (you will drive through two nature parks, one nature reserve and part of the PLA), challenging climbs, adrenaline-fuelled descents, attractive forest trails, and for variety there will also be roots, stones and water passages.

Earth Day
