In the crowded hall of the cultural house, it was literally loud. In addition to the protest against the construction of internal power plants, the local representatives demanded a referendum. Miroslav Chobot even handed over to the mayor of the village five letters on behalf of the fifth committee, on which 217 people signed the referendum. Peta’s committee collected these signatures in just a few days.

He would need a bag of them. If 448 citizens appeared on the signature sheet, as stated in the law, in that case we would approve the referendum, said Mayor Rostislav Lari (BEZPP).

During the discussion with the citizens, representative Rka Brdkov (PRO ROZVOJ OBC) proposed that the council itself vote on the annulment of the referendum. I would like all citizens to have the opportunity to express their opinion in the referendum, she explained. For her attitude, she received a standing ovation from the crowd.

It did not reach the ballot box, or the representative Josef Ba (ODS) submitted a counter-proposal so that the Obans themselves could secure the referendum. This counter-proposal was largely accepted by the representatives, so they did not vote on the original proposal.

After a very lively debate, in which the local people pointed out that they were afraid of the noise caused by the large propellers of the internal power plants, the devastation of the local market, the increase of the drought and the decrease in the value of their properties, the representatives approved that they would act accordingly on the construction of the internal power plants. In response, some locals left the message saying that the discussion with the representatives was seen as futile.
