Duplex shoots 750 kilograms of confetti every year! Now he has improved in the ranking of the best clubs in the world

These clubs are voted by the public based on criteria such as music program, venue design, and overall impact within the global club community. Every year, thousands of music clubs around the world try to get into the ranking.

This year’s DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs saw a record 229 areas voted for by the public. The chart includes clubs in nearly 40 countries, making it the most international list in the music industry.

The top five countries – USA, Spain, UK, Brazil and Croatia – retain their positions with the most placed clubs in the rankings, although Spain has lost some positions.

Duplex was placed in the ranking for the third time as the only Czech club, in 39th place, thus recording a shift of 14 places compared to last year, and at the same time as one of the 3 clubs in Central and Eastern Europe (outside Cologne, Berlin).

It is thus among the Top 40 best music clubs in the world. The placement of the Prague club in the ranking among clubs from destinations such as London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Berlin and others, moves the perception of the club to an even higher world level, not only among the domestic Czech music scene, but also the foreign one .

“It’s great for us, but also amazing and significant for Prague. Thanks to this recognition, Duplex is another important Prague attraction. It motivates us to work to make Duplex better and better. We thank our team for all their hard work and enthusiasm,” said Petr Fišer, CEO of Duplex.

“Getting into the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs is for a music club something similar to a restaurant getting a Michelin star,” added Antonin Baťka, Senior Club Manager.

In 2022, the club underwent an extensive renovation, which included not only improvements to the interior, but also technological equipment and infrastructure. The sixth floor of the club has been completely rebuilt, including the design of VIP zones, which add another dimension of luxury and exclusivity to the club.

Thanks to its unique operating model, as the only Czech music club open 365 days a year, Duplex hosts a respectable 2,000 DJ sets per year. These events are accompanied by the use of 1,500 CO2 cylinders and the firing of up to 750 kilograms of confetti per year.

Like every year, this year at Duplex electronic music fans can look forward to a program full of stellar performances, which include the biggest and most prestigious DJ names such as Alok, Robin Schulz, Fedde Le Grand, Nicky Romero, Nervo and many others.
