A huge tragedy shook Slovakia. The only seventeen-year-old KFC Komárno footballer collapsed during the match. Even immediate resuscitation did not help, the young girl died in the hospital.

The accident happened last week at a school tournament of grammar schools in Dunajská Streda. Talented soccer player Lilla Petrók, who played for KFC Komárno, collapsed during the match and could not be saved despite timely help.

“Although she was resuscitated several times, she died after a few days in a Bratislava hospital,” the Nový Čas website reported.
The sad news was confirmed by the club of the seventeen-year-old footballer. “Dear Lily! With a heavy heart and tears in our eyes, we say goodbye to you. We will forever cherish your memory and share the pain of the family. The heart of KFC beats for you today, tomorrow and forever! “Lila’s jersey with the number 11 will be discarded and in the future no player in our club’s colors will be able to wear it,” reads the KFC Komárno post on Facebook.
Death of a young girl she also affected the Hans Selye Gymnasium in Komárno, where she studied. “It is with deep sadness that we announce to our school community that Lilla Petrók, a student of class VI.N. We would like to express our sincere condolences to the family, share their grief and preserve Lilla’s memory,” the grammar school said.
Another tragic event took place at the weekend in Záhoří, Slovakia. During the endurance race Spartan Race, one of the participants collapsed and died after being transported to the hospital.
