New schools, kindergartens and parks. Negotiations on the participation of developers are bearing fruit | Representatives’ opinions

More than 260 million crowns. That was the value of two contracts with developers that we negotiated for several years and signed for Prague 3 at the end of last year. More than 260 million crowns, which will go to public facilities on Trojka as part of the construction at the site of the former Žižkov freight station. To new schools, nurseries, social services, parks or transport infrastructure.

These are funds that will be drawn on and used gradually, over a period of years. But the participation of developers in the development of public amenities is not only a prerogative of the development of the NNŽ area. We also solve it for other development projects. And we already have concrete results. In 2023, as Prague 3, we have obtained 20 million crowns thanks to cooperation agreements with developers. And this is money that will soon be or is already visible in our district. The company STRM Gama, which is preparing construction in Ohrad, contributed 5 million crowns. We are investing these funds in the expansion of ZŠ Jeseniova, which is already underway and will bring two specialized classrooms and an expanded group to the school. Another 15 million crowns were provided to the city district by the company Metrostav Epsilon, which is building in Vackovo. We have these funds ready for the reconstruction of the Židovské pece park. This year, we have already “raised” more than 13 million crowns, which will once again go to public facilities.

Negotiating with developers is not an easy matter. It is often hundreds of hours of work, not only by me, but by my entire team. In the end, however, they can pay off and contribute significantly to the development of our district.
