Twenty-nine-year-old striker Martin Kohout will head to a regional rival after leaving Brno Kometa – Olomouc introduced him as a new reinforcement. The length of the contract was not disclosed.
“He is an experienced extra-league attacker who, with his character and, of course, his name, fits perfectly into our organization,” sports manager Josef Podlaha said on the Olomouc website.
The native of nearby Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is changing jobs after an unsuccessful season in Komet. He arrived in Brno as a big reinforcement from Karlovy Vary, but in 47 games he recorded only two goals in the statistics, to which he added four assists.
From the earlier years he spent in Karlovy Vary, he was used to scoring over ten goals in the regular season and collecting around thirty points. Olomouc will now believe in a similar contribution, for which Kohout is the second reinforcement after another predator Petr Fridrich.
“His character and, of course, his name fit perfectly into our organization.”
