A part of the embankment on the English Embankment in the center of Pilsen was closed on Friday early evening due to the discovery of a severed human head. The Radbuz River between Pražská and Americká streets was then searched by police divers.

According to the server krimi-plzen.cz, which brought the information, the head was already in a considerable stage of decomposition and had been in the water for a long time. It could also be related to the murder that took place last year, when it was found further downstream in January in the river Berounce mutilated body without head, genitals and other injuries.
The suspect in this murder was caught by the police in February this year. “After more than a year of intensive work by police officers from a specially established investigative team, we managed to clarify this case of murder. On Thursday, February 29, 2024, detectives in Pilsen arrested a suspected forty-two-year-old man, who was subsequently accused by the chief commissioner of committing the particularly serious crime of murder,” police spokeswoman Pavla Burešová said at the time.

But the accused Tomáš H. persistently denies that he killed the Slovak, who moved among the homeless and was known here under the nickname Čobol. He also told the correspondent of Deník at a recent trial due to other criminal activity.
