Ondřej Michalák: Stone and time

This year too, the city will remember the day when the first tanks of American soldiers arrived in Mariánské Lázně. 79 years have passed since this event. The liberation celebrations will take place as usual on May 6 in Skalníkové sady.
The arrival of the 97th Infantry Division is scheduled for 15:00 and the convoy will be visible in Masarykova Street until approximately 16:30. The memorial service itself will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be opened by Scottish bagpipe music performed by the Blue Squadron Pipe Band. This will be followed by the laying of wreaths and flowers at the monument, followed by speeches by city officials, embassy representatives and other guests. The memorial service will be closed by the American and Czech national anthems.

Jan Homola – Art 332
An exhibition of paintings by the singer and guitarist of the group Wohnout will be on display from 7/5 to 2/6 in the City Museum and Gallery Marianske Lazne.
Each image is accompanied by a unique QR code, which will play a music clip when read. So when a visitor comes to the exhibition and admires the picture on the wall, he points his mobile phone camera at the QR code and the picture will automatically play for him. In one moment, they see the image and the plot of the image, which in the case of a clip usually lasts three to four minutes. He can thus look at the entire story of the artwork.
The opening of the ART 332 exhibition by Jan Homola will take place on May 7 at 6:00 p.m.
Census of cuckoos on Komorní Hůrka
