“We are investigating a disturbing incident involving a very young child at Legoland Windsor. Our thoughts are with the family of the boy who is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest,” confirmed investigator Zoe Ele, according to The Independent. The incident happened already on Thursday.

The police did not say in what specific situation the child became aggravated. All they said was that they were working closely with the management of the amusement park and that they were looking for witnesses who were in line for the boat ride at the time. It is a popular attraction in the park.

Investigators did not specify the relationship between the woman who took care of the boy and the child. On Friday, police arrested a woman from Witham, Essex, but later released her on bail until July 26.

“We ask the public to refrain from speculating about the incident and to respect the boy’s family at this deeply troubling time,” Ele added, adding that police were not looking for any additional suspects.

Campus management confirmed the incident and assured that a trained team of its staff immediately administered first aid to the boy before handing him over to paramedics.
