Childhood and youth promised that her life path would be straight and lined only with success and fame. It really was like that at first. Unfortunately, over the years, she began to realize that it had to come at some point and she couldn’t take it anymore. Although she is very talented and as an artist she has achieved many spectacular things, fate took a bad turn for her and in the end she did not even miss the street pavement.

From the stage to the pavement

Mrs. Alena actually lived a beautiful life. For many years she gave concerts extensively and taught at the conservatory. She had a partner at the time who acted as a capable manager. He was the love of her life and they lived together for thirty years. He made her a star and gave her eternal glory on the stages.

He prepared concerts, which she always performed famously. People wanted more and more concerts, so she had to play until she was exhausted. “I was perfect in this respect, I could play as long as I could. His death put me in this situation,” says Mrs. Alena for Čtidom, who has already experienced the worst, but first experienced literal hell on earth.

She burned out due to the pressure of touring

Even while studying at the conservatory, she often had stage fright. It all started with the stroke of her sixteenth birthday, and then the mental problems with her stretched far into adulthood. Of course, she was seeing a psychiatrist, but the sedatives he kept prescribing her didn’t help much. Until one day she met her dream future partner and love worked a miracle.

In time, she could drop the psychiatrist from her life. How did it happen? To this day, Mrs. Alena thanks her partner for her (at least temporary) cure. He then harnessed her in such a way that she forgot all her anxieties and depression. However, peace of mind did not last forever. Once there was a breaking point and a drop to the psychological bottom. “I had too much to do and I had burnout,” admitted the woman, who at that time could not have even a hint of what problems awaited her in the future.

Crash after the death of a partner

Musician fame did not last forever. When her life partner died, it was fully revealed how tightly their lives were connected. He was the one who dealt with the practical side of their music business, and Alena couldn’t take care of almost anything without him. The concerts ended overnight, and the gifted pianist, who had relied only on music her whole life, was unable to continue functioning. She couldn’t pay the costs of the beautiful apartment where she lived, and found no other solution than to sell it with everything. Yes, with everything, including the piano, which was a big blow for her.

She idealized many things

Life with the manager was not all honey and glory, as it might seem from the previous lines. There were also misunderstandings and fights between the partners, which a few times they even resulted in a fight. After one fight, Mrs. Alena sustained a serious injury and had to go to the hospital for an examination. The brain bleed caused major memory problems that persist to this day. Therefore, it is difficult for him to remember some things as quickly as before.

Childhood in a musical family

Mrs. Alena grew up in a musical family in Moravia. Her parents bought a luxurious villa there, and her father founded a music school, where she could still return as a piano teacher. She graduated from the conservatory and then graduated from the Music Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She considers returning to the Moravian villa, but she herself says: “The problem is me. It’s up to me to decide. So I have the option here to escape from this. I’m just waiting for something from above.”

Twenty years have passed since her fall into the world of hostels and asylums. When her partner died, she knew very well what would happen next. He doesn’t really like residential services for people in need, and after all these years, he doesn’t look for them as much anymore. With their current boyfriend, who is also homeless, they prefer the street. “We’re on the street. We sleep on the street.” She could return to Moravia, where she owns a villa with her sister. Unfortunately, she doesn’t really want to leave Prague, on the one hand she is used to life here and on the other hand she has her life partner here. How will her story continue? Even she doesn’t know that yet…
