Near Prague, the truck drove in the opposite direction and overturned

The accident happened after ten o’clock on the 2nd kilometer of the Prague ring road at the level of Jesenice in Prague-west.

“The Prague ring road in the direction of the D5 highway is blocked by a truck that ended up on its side. Firefighters are freeing the driver on the spot, the scene of the accident is passable in both directions with one lane,” police spokeswoman Eva Kropáčová told Novinkám.

According to the police, it is likely that traffic restrictions will last several hours at the scene of the accident.

“The patient was wedged in, suffered pelvic and abdominal injuries, and was conscious the entire time. Paramedics treated the patient and transferred him to the Motol General Hospital,” said Monika Nováková, spokesperson for the paramedics.

Jan Sýkora, spokesman for the Central Bohemian Fire Department, said that the truck had broken through the center guardrails. “The truck is blocking the fast lanes in both directions,” he added. The rescue of the driver took less than two hours.

Another accident happened at 3.5. kilometer in the direction of Ruzyň. Here, a sports Porsche collided with a truck, the police are investigating the accident. Firefighters covered the leaked fuel on the spot and the driver of the car was taken to the hospital by the emergency services.
