The first semi-final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest begins on Tuesday, May 7. The Czech Republic is represented in Sweden by the singer Aiko, with a song Pedestal will appear in the second semi-final on Thursday.

The final is scheduled for Saturday, May 11. You can watch all parts of the competition live on Czech TV. Thirty-seven representatives of the countries of the European Broadcasting Union are registered.

Sweden’s Malmö became the host city after Swedish singer Loreen won last year with her song Tattoo. The city expects hundreds of thousands of people to attend the world’s biggest music competition.

We have already informed you that the biggest controversy in this year’s edition is caused by the participation of the Israeli singer Eden Golan. Due to her performance, demonstrations are planned in front of the venue. Swedish police are also expecting riots, cyber attacks and broadcast disruptions.
