CHOMUTOVSKO – Falling asleep on a bench while waiting for the train took its toll on him, he lost his mobile phone.

The Kadaň investigator accuses a 37-year-old man from Rokycan of committing the crime of theft. He should have used the opportunity to rob a sleeping man in the vestibule of the train station in Kadani. The victim, who was waiting for the train on the bench, unfortunately fell asleep and his mobile phone fell from his hand to the ground. This did not escape the initially unknown thief who was nearby. He bent down under the bench, picked up his mobile phone and left the station. When the passenger woke up, he of course started looking for his phone, but to no avail. That’s why he called the city police, and then the Kadaň police started investigating the matter. Thanks to their cooperation with the police officers, it was possible to establish the identity of the suspect. However, he does not stay in Kadani and it was not possible to summon him for questioning. The police announced a search for the man, on the basis of which their colleagues managed to arrest the suspect in Rokycany. According to the law, if proven guilty by a court, he faces a prison sentence of up to two years.
