A tour of the carriage house in Koželužská Street and the parking hall in Jeremenkova Street is planned. Historical rides and other accompanying programs are also planned.
The Olomouc transport company is commemorating the 125th anniversary of the start of regular tram service in the city this year. On that occasion, he prepared an Open Day on Wednesday, May 8, from 09:00 to 17:00.
Those interested will be able to view the depot in Koželužská Street and the parking hall in Jeremenkova Street, including T3 type tramcars, Škoda INEKON Astra, INEKON TRIO, Vario, EVO, buses, an electric bus and historic tram No. 16.
A ride on a historic set of trams is prepared. No. 223 and 99 and the historic Škoda 706 RTO bus. There will also be an accompanying program and a tour of historical Czechoslovak-made Zbrojovka Brno and Tatra cars from 1933–1936.
“For transportation to the venue, it is also possible to use regular public transport lines, in addition to the special trips of the historic tram set and the historic bus. You can get to the tram depot in Koželužská street by tram lines no. 2, 3 and 4 – stop U Sv. Mořice,” stated the Transport Company of the City of Olomouc (DPMO) in a press release.
The best option. according to the DPMO, the way to get to the stops is by tram. They all go to the Fibichova stop, from where the shutdowns are clearly visible.
“Another option is to take bus lines No. 12, 14, 15, 19, 25, 26 to the Fibichova stop. There are also several paid parking lots nearby, including an underground parking lot at the main train station.” added the DPMO.
