They say he will even try to be Superman. “The University of Silesia, where I am vice-chancellor, has the abbreviation SU, it’s a bit like Superman,” joked the man, whose appointment TOP 09 promises greater visibility, to journalists.
“After the prime minister and the minister of education, this will be the third former university rector in the government. Probably after ODS and Staroste, even TOP 09 believes that an academician will raise its preference,” says Václav Dolejší.
The former rector and economist did not make a bad first impression, but he probably won’t be a natural media talent. “I was surprised that TOP 09 could not give a concrete answer to the question of how to improve communication. At the same time, this is the basic reason for the entire exchange, so the questions were to be expected,” adds Lucie Stuchlíková.
