The young model, influencer and former Miss Ecuador contestant has almost 200,000 followers on her Instagram account. She took a picture of them and shared her lunch – the popular South American octopus ceviche at a bistro in the town of Quevedo in the middle of the country. But she had no idea that by doing so she also sent her killers on her, who shot her because of her alleged involvement with the mobster Leandro Norer.

Her name appeared last December in a conversation between Norer and his accountant Helive Angul, who stood before the court. There, Norero was heard asking Angulo not to tell anyone about his affair with the young model. “If my wife finds out, I’m screwed,” Norero wrote. “Friend, her (Párraga’s) name must not appear anywhere. Otherwise my whole world will come crashing down.”
Norero, who tried to fake his death due to covid-19 before his detention, died in a prison riot, according to the official version. The media speculates that the widow of the drug cartel boss is behind the murder of Párraga.
