On Thursday afternoon, a Ukrainian drone hit a refinery in Russian Bashkirsk, crossing a record 1,000 kilometers, writes the Ukrainská pravda server with reference to the Ukrainian secret service SBU. The Russian state agency RIA Novosti and the Russian independent server Novaya Gazeta also report on the strike on the industrial complex in Salavat.

The President of the Bashkir Autonomous Republic, Radij Khabirov, wrote in a telegram that the operation of the refinery was not interrupted due to the attack. Rescue and police forces are on the scene, Ukrainian agency Unian quotes the Russian politician as saying.

Footage from the scene was published, for example, by the Russian Telegram channel Baza. The facility belongs to the Russian state gas company Gazprom.

Another alleged Ukrainian drone attack damaged several oil tanks at a refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, Reuters reported on Thursday. Russian forces said they destroyed six incoming drones and their debris fell near the village of Jurovka, which is about 60 kilometers from Russian-occupied Crimea.

“About six drones were destroyed, but several of them fell into the depot area. This caused a fire that damaged several storage tanks,” the administration of the Krasnodar region said.
