Welcome to the last match predictions of this season. We haven’t had such a privilege yet, because we saw the seventh final match in the Tipsport extraliga after nine years!

No four game winning streak, just one to decide. Six games were not enough for either team to win the championship title. And just like in last year’s semi-final, the series between Pardubice and Třinec reached the decisive seventh game.

They have the advantage of the home environment, just like Pardubice last year, but… In last year’s semi-final it didn’t even help them and Třinec went on. This year, Pardubice will once again be able to rely on the massive support of the audience – the seventh match is hopelessly sold out.

Everything is in favor of Pardubice today, in our model they are the favorite with a chance of winning over 70%. Třinec, on the other hand, is counting on absences: after Jakub Jeřábek, Martin Marinčin and the not-so-perfect Martin Růžiček, Andrej Nestrašil also dropped out of the lineup in the first third of the sixth match. Our model does not count on his start – as well as the two defenders – today.

The odds of individual teams in a match are determined based on the results of 50,000 simulations. And the odds, which you can find in the last column, are based on the percentage chance of the given team winning. In the regular season, our model correctly determined the winner of the match 62% of the time.
