It’s already official, Mladá Boleslav has confirmed the arrival of Jan Buchtele. The experienced forward, who has played for Sparta for the last eleven seasons, has already become the seventh addition to Bruslař.
“Honza is a valid striker on both sides of the field,” reports the club’s sports manager Martin Ševc. “He knows how to play power plays and weak plays very well, he comes with a lot of experience,” he adds to the address of Mladá Boleslav’s newest acquisition.

“There used to be more players like that, but today is a different time. Each player has a contract for one or two years, then either ends or extends it for another one or two seasons. It doesn’t happen very often that someone extends it to eleven years like this. But now I’m ready for a new challenge,” reports the 33-year-old fighter.
“I tried to have everything sorted out before the playoffs. I knew I wasn’t going to continue in Sparta, so I started negotiating with other teams. It seemed to me that Boleslav was the most interested of all the clubs, so I chose the offer from here.”

According to his own words, he didn’t really like going to Mladá Boleslav as an opponent. “It seemed to me that they were always almost invincible on their own rink. The first minutes here were about survival, because they always flew at us and had excellent movement. We’ll see what it’s like to experience it all from the other side.”
