It should be noted that the last days or weeks before the recent fight with the favored Devin Haney were literally turbulent for the 25-year-old native of California Garcia. Alcohol, drugs and, last but not least, the unfulfilled weight limit for the match, due to which he had to pay his opponent 1.5 million dollars. All these worries were forgotten with the subsequent triumph, which meant the twenty-fifth success for one of the biggest boxing stars of today. The world was amazed, he did not doubt himself.

But as it seems, now the cage has quite possibly fallen. According to a letter from the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, which was subsequently sent to other parties, including the world-famous ESPN, García tested positive for the performance-enhancing substance ostarine. Among other things, the sample was supposed to contain the substance 19-norandrosterone, which has not yet been confirmed until further laboratory analysis. At the same time, the talented youngster did not have to pass the tests on two occasions, namely the day before the match and also on the day of the match.

Time is ticking for Garcia now. He currently has ten days to request testing of the B-sample, which he will pay for out of his own money. He himself maintains his innocence and defended himself on social networks. “It’s bullshit. Everyone knows very well that I do not cheat. What should I say? Why didn’t they come up with this earlier? Why did it come out now, when they tested me before the match and knew it?” he insists. “He’s just trying to attack me, but he’s definitely not going to destroy me. I don’t even know where to get steroids. I hardly even take any dietary supplements. It’s bullshit.”

García went on to hit back in a series of comments on social media, with one post suggesting that news of the positive tests came out as an attack on him because he was pictured with former US President Donald Trump. “Um, I saw Trump and now I’m tested positive for doping. Direct attack. Madness. But don’t worry, I already found out who paid whom to create this lie,” he wrote.

The team around the star boxer is currently working with the boxing company Golden Boy Promotions to show how the find was made. “Ryan has issued multiple statements denying that he knowingly used any banned substances — and we believe him,” Golden Boy said in a statement. According to Garcia, traces of banned substances in the body could be triggered by ashwagandha, which he said he should have taken.

The American boxer has been making headlines in recent months for his antics outside the ring. Before beating the aforementioned Haney, he divorced the mother of his newborn son and then proposed to Australian adult film star Savannah Bond. However, since her victory, García has been surrounded by other women. He was reportedly caught hand-in-hand with social network TikTok star Grace Boor. This was shortly after he was seen getting close to influencer Alexa Dellanos, the daughter of American TV host and journalist Myrka Dellanos.

All in all, García is having a blast with his life. If another test round doesn’t free him, he’s probably done with boxing for a while.
