“Jakub Klepiš is one of the older guys, but he is constantly working hard on himself. He takes very good care of himself physically. He was very successful in Kladno last season. We hope from him that he could help in power plays, in which we had big problems this year. With my very good game thinking, I believe that he will help Pilsen a lot,” says sports manager Tomáš Vlasák, who is retiring from Pilsen and headed to Mladá Boleslav to become sports director.

In his rich career, Klepiš played in the extra league for Slavia (with which he won two championship titles), Třinec, Mlada Boleslav, Brno, Liberec and the last two seasons in Kladno. In the regular season last year, he was the Knights’ most productive player with 40 points, and added three assists in the three games of the successfully managed playoff.

The native of Prague also has 66 games in the NHL for Washington, he also worked in Sweden and the KHL, which he won with Ufa and Dynamo Moscow.

Klepiš see thus became Pilsen’s second summer signing, before whom West Bohemia announced the arrival of Canadian striker Christoph Lalancet from Hradec Králové.
