While Pilsen can be completely calm in the superstructure part, the other teams are fighting for a lot. This also applies to Saturday’s opponents from Eden – home Slavia wants to put pressure on leaders Sparta, while Silesian is defending fourth place from Mladá Boleslav, which gives it a guarantee of European cups.

The staples did not have a great final month of the regular season. In April, they won only two out of four matches, even in those they had to worry about the result at the end. The last time this happened was in Hradec Králové, where Provod se Zmrzlý scored at the end of the first half. Spáčil’s goal in the set-up gave the charge in the last minutes, and the Slavists made up for the previous defeat in Pilsen and a draw with Olomouc.

“We have to play under pressure, press for chances. Force Baník our way of playing. We have to be efficient, convert the first chances, which we didn’t do well in the last matches. Baník is strong up front, they have Tank at the top, Klíma and Kubala have recovered. They have to offensive players and other interesting players, that’s why they are where they are in the table. We have to eliminate them and be dangerous ourselves from what we know could apply to them.” coach Jindřich Trpišovský urges.

They cannot be satisfied with the recent point gains even in Ostrava. Baník lost at Sparta, recorded four-goal draws at home with Karvina and Slovan Liberec. Against this, a week ago he was leading after goals from Ewerton and Kpoz, but Tupta and Prebsl secured the final draw for the guests.

Recently, the people of Prague have managed each other’s matches. The last time the rivals lost was almost six years ago, they are currently on a streak of four consecutive wins. This season, however, they overworked themselves – in August, Eden cheered up Tijani with a single goal. In Vítkovice, after Jureček’s goal, Buchta and Rig responded, van Buren and Bořil turned the score back to Slavia’s side.

Pavel Hapal also remembers the mentioned match. “The last time it was against Slavia was an amazing match for us, the only thing missing was a better result. It is a fact that we did not manage to score points against the top three teams in the regular season, but almost every time it was close to one goal. We are missing a piece. Even now we want to play actively and not just wait for what Slavia will come up with. At the same time, we also have to eliminate their strongest points, because Slavia’s playing quality is high. We are also scoring goals recently and we will try to play actively against opponents in the build-up. Slavia is fighting for the title, we are in fourth place, so there are prerequisites for it to be nice and interesting football. We will certainly try to contribute to it with our own performance.” says the Slezan coach.

The home bench will be missing the injured Sinyan in the match, and a question mark hangs over Bořil as well. On the other hand, the clubs’ agreement will not let Ewerton into the game, health problems will prevent Takács from starting, and probably also Riga with Letáček.

Slavia Prague – probable line-up:
Staněk – Holeš, Ogbu, Vlček – Douděra, Ševčík, Oscar, Mzrzlý – Schranz, Provod – Chytil

Baník Ostrava – probable line-up:
Markovič – Blažek, Lischka, Pojezný – Rusnák, Šín, Bula, Buchta, Kpozo – Tanko, Klíma

Tipsport odds: 1.14 – 9.36 – 17.90
