Talented striker Lukas Reichel was missing from the original German nomination for the World Cup, but just before the start of the tournament on Friday, there was a twist – the nephew of Czech legend Robert Reichel will arrive in Ostrava.

Everything is different now.
On Tuesday, Reichel successfully completed the negotiations with Chicago on a new contract – he extended it by two years, he will earn a total of 2.4 million dollars. Therefore, nothing stands in the way of participating in the WC. “He will start there,” the Blackhawks confirmed in a press release.
Reichel didn’t exactly have a dazzling form in the NHL this year: he recorded a 5+11 record in 65 starts in Chicago. At the World Championship, however, he shone during the previous two appearances: he collected a total of eleven points in thirteen games.
For the Germans, who will play the basic group in Ostrava, this is the fifth overseas acquisition. In addition to him, an experienced goalkeeper arrived to help
