Ferrari is testing an improved car for Imola in Fiorano – F1sport.cz

Ferrari is also driving at its circuit in Fiorano today. As part of a filming day, he tests improvements for Imola.

Yesterday, Ferrari tested new wheel covers with two cars to reduce water splash. This is a job for the FIA ​​and it is not yet clear when or if we will see similar covers at all. The cars were driven by Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Bearman.

Today, Ferrari is testing a car dubbed the 2.0 in Italy. It underwent a number of changes – in the area of ​​the front and rear wings, around the cockpit, and the engine cover. The main novelty, however, is the redesigned side entrances and especially the floor. If the upgrade works, it could add a few tenths per bike. It is supposed to be the first of three packages that Ferrari will deploy this year.

As of this year, I can take the teams up to 200 kilometers in one filming day, which is over 60 laps on the short circuit in Fiorano.

Charles Leclerc drove the car in the morning, he will be replaced by Carlos Sainz later in the day. For Ferrari, it’s not just about testing new parts for Imola, but also about getting videos and photos for commercial activities – it has a new title sponsor.
