Do you have an iPhone? Here you can find out whether you will get the latest iOS 18 – SMARTmania.cz

--

  • The new version of the iOS and iPadOS operating system with the number 18 is fast approaching
  • Compatibility in the case of iOS 18 will most likely be the same as with the previous version
  • In the case of iPadOS 18, it will probably no longer reach some older models

With the arrival of a new version of the iOS and iPadOS operating systems, the question always arises as to which devices can look forward to it and which ones will not. Apple maintains an exceptionally long support for its devices, and it is not unusual for a phone or tablet to receive updates even 5 years after its launch. However, sometimes Apple supports its devices even longer, and the exact date of end of support is not written anywhere, so users of older devices are left with a puzzle every year, whether their still new system will get it or not.

iPhone Xs from 2018 will also get iOS 18

According to the latest speculations, iOS 18 will be compatible with the same devices as the previous version of iOS 17, which is certainly a welcome news. iOS 18 should thus arrive even on the more than 5-year-old iPhone Xs, which was introduced in September 2018. On the other hand, with iPadOS 18, Apple plans to cancel support for several devices of the older generation. Today’s speculation comes after we first learned about device compatibility with iOS 18 last month. At the time, however, there were a few question marks about the list of compatible devices, so it had to be taken with a grain of salt.
