The Chinese competitor has increased the price of the iPad, but it is still significantly cheaper than the tablet from Apple

The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is now available in stores for CZK 15,999 (256 GB) with less memory and for CZK 17,999 (512 GB). Initially, the starting prices were CZK 14,999 and CZK 16,999.

Even after the increase, the prices are significantly lower than in the case of the newer iPad Pro. The version with a 12.9-inch display starts at CZK 35,490. It is this version that competes with the new Chinese tablet, which premiered at the end of February at the MWC 2024 fair in Barcelona, ​​Spain. And Novinky.cz was there.

With Apple, people also pay extra when they accept a smaller 11-inch screen, at that price they start at CZK 25,990, which is still more than the new product from Xiaomi.

The Chinese manufacturer makes no secret of the fact that the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is aimed at demanding users. The new product is based on the powerful 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, thanks to which it should offer a brisk work pace under the baton of the Android operating system and the HyperOS graphics superstructure. The octa-core chip can handle a working speed of up to 3.19 GHz.

Memory combinations of 8+256 GB and 12+512 GB are available, with the first number always indicating the size of the operating memory and the second the storage capacity.

The 12.4-inch display with an aspect ratio of 3:2 will also be a big attraction. It will offer a very fine image, the resolution is 3048 x 2032 pixels, i.e. 294 pixels per inch (PPI). The tablet is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh, which is complemented by ultra-fast 120W HyperCharge charging.

The manufacturer also focused on multimedia equipment, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 thus has six speakers. Although it is not very common for tablets, the cameras used also achieve high quality. At the back we find a double optic, the basis of which is a 50-megapixel sensor with a lens that boasts an aperture of f/1.8. It should thus achieve good results even in poor lighting conditions.

For the sake of completeness, let’s add that the camera on the back can also shoot videos, up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The front camera, which has a resolution of 32 MPx and an aperture of f/2.2, manages to shoot videos in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

Thanks to its solid performance, the new tablet has ambitions to compete with laptops, thanks to the special Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro Touchpad Keyboard cover. He will supplement the touch screen with a keyboard and also a touchpad, which is new for Xiaomi. But in practice, thanks to this, you can work with this tablet like a real laptop.

The Xiaomi Focus Pen can also come in handy, boasting 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and a sampling rate of 240 Hz. So you can easily draw and write on the touch screen with it.

However, the pen and keyboard cover are sold separately. The Xiaomi Focus Pen will cost 1,999 CZK, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro Touchpad Keyboard will cost 3,499 CZK.
