The city of Pilsen joins the World Autism Awareness Daywhich since 2008 has accounted for April 2. Its aim is to emphasize the need for help leading to the improvement of the quality of life of people with autism so that they can lead a full and meaningful life and be an integral part of society. Tonight, the Pilsen City Hall building on Republic Square will glow blue. The Nová scéna and the ČEZ building will also join.

April is dedicated to understanding autism, that’s why it’s called that Blue April. The Pilsen civic association ProCit, which provides social services for families with children with autism spectrum disorder, already organizes 8th year of the charity run. RUN for ProCit in Borské Park in Pilsen takes place in Saturday, April 20. Interested parties can find more information and the possibility to register on the website www.runforprocit.cz. The proceeds are dedicated to the implementation of educational and sports-relaxation stays.

Civic association ProCit offers special pedagogical diagnostics and counseling, social skills training. It provides weekend and weekly stays for families with children, organizes many leisure activities and therapies led by expert lecturers, as well as seminars and discussions with experts.
