The original deadline for the submission of considered offers for the construction of nuclear units in the Czech Republic was set for April 15. According to its representatives, EDF wants to involve the same percentage of domestic companies in the construction of new nuclear power plants as it did in the case of the Hinkley Point nuclear power plant in Great Britain.
I confirm that EDF owns a 64 percent share of Czech companies, said Roman Zdebor, the representative of the company in Czech. As he added, every crown invested in the nuclear project should mean an increase of 3.27 K for the Czech economy.

KHNP thus committed to it that it intended to involve Czech companies in the project, namely Piblin, on the same level as EDF. In the course of the campaigns, the South Korean company highlighted the fact that in the past fifty years it had not managed to build nuclear blocks even for a single day. First of all, thanks to this experience, according to representatives, the company is ready to meet any requirements from the client. The South Koreans are raising the price of the new reactors in Esk until their company KHNP builds them for a pre-agreed amount. In addition, using a turbocharger made of Doosan Koda Power.

EZ before the government will apply in April
At the end of January this year, the government invited EDF and KHNP to submit considered offers for the reactor. After analyzing the first project, she decided to build one reactor in Dukovany, which included options for additional units. According to Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS), the unconsidered bids of the applicants for the construction of the reactor turned out to be 25 percent more suitable than the construction of only one block. The government did not specify the specific amount.
On the other hand, the North American company Westinghouse, which, according to the Cabinet, did not meet the conditions of the original tender, dropped out of the original trio of candidates for the nuclear tender. According to some people, however, the American concern Westinghouse did not approach it with full commitment. The reason was the disappointment of the two women who were hired to complete the construction of the Temelna block, which was demolished in April 2014.
At that time, the Americans invested a lot of money and effort in the preparations, their disappointment was great. In addition, in the current tender they did not have one center and a representative, it would be possible to communicate with them, which is appreciated by the EZ and the Czech government, the source said.
Vtzi will be decided by luck
EZ, which is in charge of the current tender for the construction of new nuclear units in the Czech Republic, is therefore analyzing the bids submitted by EDF and KHNP and should submit them to the government for assessment in April. The Cabinet will then decide who will be the recipient and exactly how many blocks should actually be built in the Czech Republic.
It is assumed that the contracts will be finalized during this year and prepared for signing by the 31st of March of the following year. After their final signature, according to the EZ, a thorough revision of the documentation projects will follow, so that the deadline for trial operation of the new unit in 2036 can be reached.
According to two reports by the government and the EZ, one new reactor should cost about K 160 billion in 2020 prices. Representatives of EDF, KHNP, and the Czech party refuse to comment in any way on the prices in the offers. Some economists estimated in January that the construction of the reactor could cost up to two trillion crowns.
Given that this is the largest project in the history of the Czech Republic, it is not only the case of one company. We are ready to support him, said Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Youngki Hong on Monday before the EC meeting.
According to him, the Korean government is considering various options for co-financing this large project, or how to financially support it.
The ambassador confirmed that the Korean government provided certain forms of support for the construction of the Barka nuclear power plant in the United Arab Emirates, where the KHNP company built those nuclear blocks.
