A hot air balloon fell in Berounsk. He got tangled in tree branches and got stuck

--

The Central Bohemian police were notified of the accident around 7:15 p.m. “According to the report, there was supposed to be an uncontrolled landing and at the same time the fall of the hot air balloon. There were a total of five people in the basket – one pilot and four passengers,” Michaela Richterová, spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian police, told iDNES.cz.

None of the passengers were hurt. According to the police spokesman, the pilot wanted to land approximately 400 meters away, but the rope of the balloon caught on tree branches. “It pulled him into the woods and he got stuck there. The pilot’s breath test was negative,” added Richter.

Firefighters from Beroun and volunteer firefighters from Počapel, Králova Dvor and Zdice responded to the scene. “Using the rope system, the units helped people from difficult-to-access terrain. There was no fire,” they wrote on the X social network.
