The Florida State baseball team wraps up its weekend series against North Carolina State today.
Well 6 FSU and No. 20 NC State is neck-and-neck with the ACC Tournament less than three weeks away. The Wolfpack won Game 1 on Friday with sluggers James Tibbs III and Alex Makarewicz going at it again Saturday night.
Today’s probable starters are TBD. FSU’s usual Sunday starter, Conner Whittaker, has not pitched since April 6. Last week at Duke, Brady Louck lasted one inning, giving up five runs on five hits and two walks. Cooper Consiglio (2-4, 6.16 ERA) was the Wolfpack’s Sunday starter through April, but he picked up the win Friday night by going 4⅓ innings in relief, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits, a walk and five strikeouts .
