STRAKONICKO – A serious accident happened shortly after 5:30 on the I/4 road near Rovná in Strakonicko. According to initial police information, five cars collided. The road is completely closed, there are injuries on the scene, the police, firefighters and paramedics are on the scene, and an air ambulance helicopter has landed.
“Currently, we have a completely impassable road I/4 between the turns to Rovna and Kbelnice on Strakonick. There was a mass accident involving five vehicles with injuries. All components of the integrated rescue system are on the scene, the helicopter has landed,” said police spokesman Miroslav Šupík.
South Bohemian fire department spokeswoman Vendula Matějů added that the fire department is extricating one person, the number of injured has not yet been specified. The bypass route in the direction from Strakonice leads through Řepici to Radomyšl, in the direction from Drhovle to Kbelnice, Osek and Radomyšl.
