Jubilee gala evening with all the pomp. The domestic organization PML is preparing its tenth installment. It will see the light of day at the end of May, the venue will be Nitra. A mix of MMA and Thai boxing will once again be seen in the South of Slovakia, the event will feature well-known names led by Ivan Buchinger.

The smiling Slovakian has had a rich career behind him, he has competed against big names in the cage, including McGregor, Paradeiser, Keita, Barborík. During his 16-year journey, he played in 50 games, and will start another 10 at the end of May.

At PML 10, he will compete against Brazil’s Paulo Suriano. This wrestler has 21 professional duels and 19 wins. He is a two-time BJJ world champion and also a successful boxer. She is a mysterious unknown to the domestic scene, as well as to Ivan.

“I don’t know anything about the opponent. I know he’s Brazilian, he has a good score, a black belt in BJJ, that’s all. I think he’ll be very good and we’ll have a good and attractive match,” Buchinger wished in the PML series In the Footsteps of a Fighter .

“I don’t know what the course of the match will be. We are both grounders, but we were in a similar situation with Barborík and we did the match in attitude. I think that I will not suffer either on the ground or in attitude. And we’ll see what happens to us to get along,” the seasoned fighter was in a good mood, having also met his last slayer at training.

At the anniversary Octagon 50, a title rematch with Ron Paradeiser was waiting for Buki. It didn’t turn out well for him at all. The twenty-six-year-old predator hit Ivan hard from the first seconds, Ivan held. He was ready to fight until his legs would take him. He wanted to continue the battle even when he was covered in blood, but the doctor and trainers rejected this scenario. The battle ended after three rounds.

The Slovaks faced each other in battle for the second time, but there is no bad blood between them. The wrestling past does not prevent them from training together.

“I’m taking this purely as a sport,” said Buki calmly. “I’m the same,” Ron agreed. “We’re 1-1, it’s even,” smiled the Octagon’s current lightweight champion. “Perhaps there will be a third stage,” the older fox provoked with a smile.

He is in good spirits before the May mission, ready to get back on a winning streak. “I don’t care where the match will take place. I want to be good on the ground and in my attitude,” added the native of Gabčíkov, who is also preparing for his PML debut alongside UFC elite fighter Lajoš Klein.
