Don’t know where to watch Real Madrid? Before he was just cheering, now Joselu secured the final of the Champions League

Who would have thought that just this (un)ordinary fan two years later would end up saving for Real?

take your eyes off it. Or just a reward – for everything that Jos Luis Mato Sanmartn aka Joselu had to do. Football has once again conjured up a pbh that you can’t imagine. Or did you believe that a long-neglected boy, who ran onto the pitch ten minutes before the end at 0:1, scored two goals to open Bayern Munich and the crazy semi-finals of the Champions League?

He is always in his thirties. I’ve dreamed of him like that since I was a child. But when it really happened, it was far more beautiful, it was not a dream, it moved him after midnight. Real will face Dortmund in the final, and Josel, in particular, will not be in the lineup, which he doesn’t mind.

At first he didn’t catch on at Real, he played only one match ten years ago, then he wandered around Europe. He did not live in Germany. He was mocked in England. And when he was twirling in the middle of nowhere, it started to hurt him. Real watched from a distance the whole time. The Champions League has once again written a painful chapter about an unsung hero in the chronicle. This time he had Josela written all over the walls. In the final of 2005, he carried the number one, he was stupid enough to fly to Istanbul only as an extra. He was marooned for half a season and coach Bentez informed him that there would be no new contract. For the last league game of the season, he didn’t even take Vladimr Micera among the substitutes, who couldn’t take the bow and went out on a limb: You let me down! He didn’t think at all that he would run out for a hit against AC Milne, in the end he was the main ace in the final after a famous turnaround from 0:3. He also scored a penalty in the break.

A year later, the Brazilian right-back Juliano Belletti was sent to Finland, his only goal for the summer in Barcelona.

Or: would you have expected last year that Mr. Rodri would be the main ace among Manchester City’s star players? A modest zlonk with a lot of movement and smart tricks? Pesto first he drove into me and hit the holy throat.

If Ronaldo, Messi, Inzaghi, Ral or Milito become the main players of the Champions League, that’s a big deal. I expected it from Nor Solskjaer, Belgian Origi or French Coman. And not at all with Madrid’s substitute Joselu. Football always knows how to surprise.
