Apple introduced the new generation of iPad Pros, which boast not only top-notch equipment, but also interesting innovations in the field of display. However, it will not be cheap. New, for example, is the option to pay extra for the “nano-texture glass” cover glass, which reduces glare and makes the touch more pleasant. Supposedly. The display itself is now composed of two panels, which together achieve better HDR and XDR and boasts a brightness of up to 1,600 nits. And of course the chipset is also new. The Apple M4 is said to be 50% faster than the M2 with half the power consumption. All this in a slim body of 5.3 or 5.1 mm. The Magic Keyboard has also received an innovation, and we mustn’t forget the Apple Pencil Pro either. And now the prices. The smaller version starts at CZK 30,000, the larger at CZK 40,000. With an additional fee for glass, the largest storage, with a keyboard and a pen, we reach 100 thousand crowns. Apple is simply convinced that the new iPad Pro is better for work than any laptop.

The new generation iPad Air was also introduced, which is much more grounded and brings much less innovation. There are two main news. You now have a choice of 11″ and 13″ versions. You also choose according to storage size and Wi-Fi, or 5G variants. So you need a whole complicated table for prices. Know that they start at 18 thousand and end at 43.5 thousand CZK. It doesn’t have that on the Pro version, but it’s still a lot. The second major innovation is mainly the new Apple M2 chipset, which offers more than enough performance. Especially if your iPad is primarily a multimedia device.

Google finally officially brought Pixel phones to the Czech Republic. And that it took! But you can buy the eighth generation of Pixels from us already from official distribution. Not that it was impossible to get phones here before, but stores brought them here from abroad and at a premium. In addition to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, which were previously presented and reviewed by us, you can now also choose the Pixel 8a model, which in many respects copies the Pixel 8, only with minor compromises. However, the phones can now be had at significant discounts.

And if all this seems expensive and unnecessary, you can always go back to push-button phones. HMD Global under the legendary Nokia brand is now releasing the 3210 (2024). It has all the basic functions, you can play Snake on it, there is internet access, FM radio and you can even take some photos with the 2MP camera. It is somewhat paradoxical that the new product looks more like the modern 6310 than the old 3210 from 1999. The phone will cost around 2,000 crowns.
