“Caliphate is the solution”. It is still consolidating in Germany. Over a thousand Islamists demonstrated in Hamburg on Saturday against the way the media in Germany reports on Islam. Muslims, some of whom openly demanded the establishment of a caliphate, gathered at the call of the Muslim Interaktiv organization. Although the group is being monitored by the German counter-intelligence, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, it still operates legally, German media informs.
In the Hamburg district of St. Georg was demonstrated by hundreds of Muslims. They came to the challenge of the radical Islamist group Muslim Interaktiv. In a TikTok video, it was announced that the demonstration was directed against media coverage of Islam, against alleged anti-Muslim smear campaigns in the media.
Police later said there were about 1,100 participants in the demonstration. Photos from the protest almost exclusively depict men. According to a reporter from the protest site, about 50 women also stood aside. Some of the Islamists openly demanded the establishment of a caliphate. “The caliphate is the solution,” were the slogans and banners seen at the Islamist demonstration in Hamburg.
Authorities said in advance of the demonstration that “The organizer of this rally is the Islamist group Muslim Interaktiv (MI), which the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (LfV) in Hamburg is monitoring for extremism.” According to him, everyone who takes part in this rally stands side by side Muslim Interaktiv is the successor organization of the Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT), which has been banned since 2003.
