Buckingham Palace announced last week that the king would return to his duties. But the public program will be limited to minimize the risk of health complications. According to British media, the king’s announcement does not mean he will fully return to public speaking – it is more of a “positive signal”.

Another member of the highest circles of the British royal family, Princess Kate, the wife of the heir to the throne, Prince William, is also being treated for cancer. After weeks of speculation, Kate revealed in March that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy following abdominal surgery in January.
