After the introduction, when the Republican presidential favorite spoke at length about his solution to massive immigration to the US and the journalist “grilled” him with questions about the technicalities of his deportation plan, there were questions of the economy, which the editor called the “trade war with China.”

And after the debate on customs tariffs, there was news of world politics. First, to Israel, where Trump stated as a solution that terrorists must not get access to money. “During my government, Hamas had no money. Iran had no money to give these people – and very little terrorism. And we got rid of the Islamic State, completely. Now it’s starting to come back,” the former president said.

He then accused Israel of miscommunicating its operation against terrorism and criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. He says that he had a bad experience with him during his presidency.

Then the debate moved again for a long time to domestic American topics and also to the processes being conducted against Trump by the American justice system.

And then the journalist wondered what Trump’s announced plan to “eliminate the deep state” entailed.

“It means we want to get rid of bad people, people who have not done a good job in government,” the candidate explained. When he bought a company as a businessman, he was also interested in the performance of the employees there, and if he was not satisfied, he solved it. According to him, many people do not do a good job in the state administration.

He recalled the hoax about Russian influence in the election in his favor, which was spread by the media and news reporters for two and a half years before it turned out to be worthless at all.

Then the journalist wondered why Trump is not interested in the fate of Evan Gerskovich, who has been detained in Russia for a year. Trump acknowledged that he is a brave young man, but unfortunately he has a lot of other things to do.

According to him, instead of challenges, something meaningful should be done. “The difference between me and Biden is that he will be fired under my administration,” added the Republican candidate.

According to him, Biden cannot negotiate with Putin at all. “Putin should never have attacked Ukraine. And in the four years of my government, he didn’t do it either.” Trump recalled.

Then he skeptically added that “nothing really surprises me about Biden anymore.”

When asked by a journalist if his threat that NATO member states that do not contribute to the common budget according to the agreement would “leave it to Putin” was valid, he then explained that his words were meant to make the member states pay, and in this direction they were very successful. “The negotiator talks like this because he wants them to pay,” he added.

According to him, the US is contributing much more to the Ukrainian operation than European countries, which is strange because Europeans are more affected by this war.

Journalists were then interested in whether the US under Trump’s leadership should remain the leader of the West, or whether he wants to change the architecture of the post-war world, which has been functioning for 80 years.

“Our main problem with NATO is that I don’t think the Europeans would come to our aid if there was a problem,” Trump replied. According to him, the North Atlantic Alliance works as a “one-way street”.

As far as Ukraine is concerned, according to him, Europe should be much more involved. And this is what he said to Viktor Orbán, who, on the other hand, claims that Europe should support the Ukrainian defense as little as possible.

After further questions about America’s military presence in the world, however, he also said: “I think we’re in a lot of places where we shouldn’t be. And we’re probably not somewhere we should be.” He cited South Korea as an example, where the US has been helping since the end of the war in 1953, and according to him, this very rich country is also essentially a black passenger.

The journalist then reminded him that as the leader of the free world in office he often dealt with dictators. So he was interested in how Trump perceives the issue of freedom.

“You have freedom if you have a real democracy. And I think we’re becoming a worse democracy when I see how our Department of Justice or the FBI behaves,” he added. If a presidential candidate has to spend eight hours a day in court over nonsense, it doesn’t say much about democracy, he says.

“I think what the Biden administration has started to do here is no longer democracy, it looks more like something from the third world.”

He then denied that he had ever called for any part of the constitution to be suspended. “The Democrats are violating the Constitution. They messed with the election, they’re deploying the FBI to go after people…” And he also mentioned the cases when the judge forbade him to talk about some people.

“Now I’m talking about the fascists in our government who can be called the ‘enemy within.’ And I think they are often more dangerous for us than China or Russia.”

As for the global fight, it’s simple, he says. When you have a weak president, your enemies get stronger. The enemy from within is dangerous by weakening you. “When we have a strong president, we won’t have a big problem with China or Russia. But we’ll still have a problem with strange people here.”
