Are we not exaggerating a bit? Judge for yourself – the top engine of the GT 63 SE Performance has a four-liter eight-cylinder AMG with two turbos under the hood, which alone delivers 603 horsepower. But this is a plug-in hybrid, backed by a powerful electric motor.
The result of such a connection is a maximum of 804 horsepower and 1,420 newton meters of torque. Standard is a connection with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, all of which synergistically brings acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and a maximum speed of up to 320 km/h!
Mercedes is proud that it is its fastest-accelerating car ever, with a hundred in under three seconds, the plug-in hybrid AMG GT defeats such names as Porsche 911 Turbo S, Ferrari SF90 Stradale or Lamborghini Revuelto at traffic lights.

An honest engine under the hood, a charging connector at the back. But this plug-in hybrid doesn’t have saving the planet in its job description.
Electrical energy is stored in a 6.1kWh battery, whose cooling system was inspired by the world of Formula 1. You can recharge it from a socket (up to 3.7 kW), but this type of car is not expected to do much. It is important for the drive that there is at least some energy in the battery when full acceleration is needed, which the driver collects while driving by recuperation during braking.
However, other aspects of the car are also worth mentioning. For example, ceramic brakes hidden behind 21″ light alloy wheels, an active rear spoiler, rear wheel rotation, or hydraulic elements instead of traditional stabilizers, so that body tilts are as small as possible. The “Gé-tee” also gets an aerodynamic strip at the front below, which increases downforce at higher speeds.

Although the new model boasts above all its sporting capabilities, it still remains true to the GT acronym, so it wants to offer maximum comfort even on long journeys. The adaptive chassis can be rockier in comfort mode, the electrically adjustable seats have massage functions (even the rear seats have been preserved), and on board you can be pampered by a premium audio system or Nappa leather, which is very pleasant to the touch.
