Tesla’s Cybertruck is suffering from more postpartum pains. Brody can handle it, but she is afraid of dishwashers. And don’t even try to restart the system…

--

Recently, the news spread around the world that less than 3,900 Tesla cybertrucks have to be serviced due to the potential risk of the gas pedal cover becoming loose, which could get stuck in the interior lining and subsequently cause an accident.

Now it has become clear how the car company is doing with washing the Cybertruck and possibly restarting the system. One of the owners of this young model had already had to deal with the fact that after he washed the car, it simply stopped working after driving almost 5,500 km.

He probably didn’t read the manual, because it says not to wash the vehicle in direct sunlight, as this promotes corrosion, and it also says to use a special wash mode if you’re heading to the car wash.

Although the pick-up in wading mode has a decent passability through waterways, normal washing without a special mode can damage its electronics. The manufacturer also does not recommend directing the water stream directly at the glass or seals when washing. In short, the Cybertruck is supposed to be bulletproof, which many doubt, but it is certainly not waterproof.

Tesla has a special mode for wading, but also for ordinary washing.

It is then extremely clear that the car manufacturer will not recognize damage caused by not using the wading or washing mode as part of the warranty. So we don’t even want to imagine what will happen when, for example, it rains heavily and heavily.

However, the washing story of the washed immobile Cybertruck had an interesting ending. If an electronic device does not work as it should, the basic solution is to turn it off and on. What’s the matter, Teslas support system restart, you just need to hold both steering wheel buttons at once, but…

By default, the reboot takes about two minutes, but not with Cybertruck, where this system reboot takes five hours! There is no mistake here, it is five long hours when the car is immobilized. The manufacturer is aware of this problem, so they will probably fix it with an update.

The Tesla Cybertruck is still suffering from postpartum pains, but this is relatively common for this young automaker. After all, ramping up production for each new model is a huge challenge for any automaker, especially one that does things its own way and is headed by a rich visionary autistic named Elon Musk.

However, the negative publicity does not suit Tesla at the moment, as its sales are falling, so it is once again discounting its selected models. On the other hand, for Tesla, the Cybertruck pick-up is not as important as, for example, the Model Y, which boasts the title of the world’s best-selling car for 2023. The tuning of this model and the thorough preparation of production are perhaps the reason why the modernized Y Juniper will not be shown until next year and not this year as expected.
