Looking at the internet, television and cookbooks, we sometimes have the feeling that no one can come up with anything new when it comes to cooking. And yet it happens every day. Today we will introduce you to irresistible minced meat skewers, for the production of which you will need a PET bottle.
Homemade grilled skewers of minced meat
- 500 g beef (minced or whole)
- 1 egg yolk
- 10 g of parsley
- ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 onion
Meat preparation
Grind or finely chop the meat and transfer it to a bowl. Add yolk, parsley, sweet pepper, salt, pepper to the meat, and finally grate or finely chop the peeled onion. Mix the mixture thoroughly.
PET bottle in action
Now comes the turn of the PET bottle. Cut it roughly in half, discard the bottom and keep the top. Wash the bottle well. Leave the lid screwed on, turn the PETka upside down and fill it with the meat mixture.
Place a closed can on the kitchen counter, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the cut PET bottle. We turn the bottle with the meat over and place it on the can. We unscrew the lid, put a stick or a long toothpick into the hole and start slowly pushing the bottle down so that the meat is pressed against the can and the meat rolls come out through the neck of the bottle. You can grill
Grill the finished skewers on a hot grill or grill pan. If you’re a gourmet, then wrap the skewers with sliced cheese, which we let soften a little on the grill beforehand. Served with a vegetable side dish.
Recipe for yogurt dip
And those who would like to treat their taste buds to an even greater experience can hide the bottom of the trimmed PET bottle. Once the skewers are fried, pour 500 g of yogurt into the rest of the bottle, add 2 spoons of mint, ½ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of ground pepper and mix. Dip the grilled skewers in the dip, and finally wrap them in dried onions.
