Survivor: The pirate played Hidden Immunity, but the goodwill backfired on him

Despite the fact that all the contestants have already returned home to their loved ones from the Dominican Republic, we are still watching the progress of the competition on TV or in advance on the Voyo platform, which for viewers is roughly halfway through. Maybe, like me, you already have your favorite.

First, I would like to briefly mention what happened at the last tribal council. The contestants from the Titan tribe expected that someone would leave the island after the duel in which Radek and Martin were supposed to participate. In the end, as unexpected as it was, everything turned out differently than one could have expected. At the moment when both contestants were ready to start the duel, moderator Ondra Novotný announced that there would be no duel this time. Instead, Radek pulled out a blue scarf and got into the Hunter tribe, and the two tribes mixed into the following composition.

• Titans: Martin, Tomáš, Kristýna, Márty, Yenifer, Iva, Bandurka
• Hunters: LineJack, Pirate, Mikýř, Jana, Nikola, Veronika

Iva and Bandurko became new contestants in the Titan tribe. The hunters slaughtered Radek, whom the Titans gladly got rid of, because he was already bothering them in the tribe. Both the Hunters and the Titans seem to have adapted to the change without any problems.

But now let’s look at what happened at the last tribal council, which was also surprising and I think that perhaps no one expected such a twist that came.

Tribal council is always preceded by an immunity battle, and this time Yenifer did not participate. Instead, she tried to encourage the Titans to win with constant, and in my opinion, annoying encouragement and thank yous. Unfortunately, the Hunters won this fight again, which meant only one thing for the Titans. They will go, as they have done so many times, to a duel.

Shortly before the announcement of the results of the vote, Pirát asked to speak. Together with Nikola, he supported Iva in good faith by generously playing hidden immunity. Iva just shook her head and it was clear from her expression that this was the last thing she would want. She turned it down and then said that she was grateful, but if she was going to be in a duel, she was going to try and win it, or at least find out that she had nothing to do in Survivor anymore. But my subjective impression was that she already wanted to go home a little. Unfortunately, the hidden immunity was wasted and according to the rules, the contestants can no longer use it for someone who really deserves it. Perhaps Iva herself was not aware that by refusing, the hidden immunity would not get back into the hands of the Pirate and Nikola.

Bandurko participated in the duel this time, for whom contestants from among the Titans voted, and Iva, who was sent to the duel by Tomáš as the second contestant. Iva lost and left the Survivor reality show after a beautiful 44 days, and she certainly does not need to be ashamed of her performance in the competition.
