Interesting facts from the life of Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 near the Italian city of Vinci. His notary father provided him with a general education, and young Leonardo showed an interest in art and science at a young age. At the age of 15, when he entered the workshop of the painter and sculptor Andrea Verrochio as an apprentice, he showed tremendous talent. A few years later, he already became a member of the painter’s guild.

In 1482, Leonardo da Vinci entered the service of Ludvík Sforza, Duke of Milan, where he spent 17 years studying anatomy, architecture, aerodynamics, physics and astronomy.
