On the weekend, the Prague Exhibition Center will be transformed into a mecca for modern do-it-yourselfers

--

As in previous years, visitors will be able to try out new technologies, as well as various crafts. According to the organizers, the festival celebrating creativity of all kinds also gives space to business and start-ups in the program this year. To the smaller ones that are just starting out, as well as to those that have successfully started.

“In the program itself, visitors will find enterprising makers marked, they can have fun with them about their journey and maybe even get inspired. And you’ll find a whole range of these at the Prague Maker Faire, whether it’s precise paper models from Cut’n’Glue, or a family start-up that develops a remote-controlled electric brake for a children’s bike,” Leona Daňková outlined the weekend program, media representative of the festival.

She did not hide her enthusiasm that very often student makers also come up with business ideas. “There are a lot of them in the program, especially from CTU,” added Daňková.

Panel discussions and a speed-dating block

According to her, visitors can also expect two panel discussions this year. “Saturday’s, titled Makers in the role of successful entrepreneurs, will present, for example, Pavol Rusnák from Trezor, the first hardware crypto wallet, or Eliška Slámová and Šimon Brabec from Braasi Industry, whose accessories in the form of stylish backpacks and waist bags are familiar to many readers,” the media representative pointed out.

Sunday’s panel will be held with those who help start a business – Markéta Uhrová, Tomáš Cironis or Marko Heřman.

“Those interested who want to consult with experts privately will have a chance in the popular Sunday speed-dating block. The exhibiting makers themselves will also appear on stage, and in a short presentation they will share their recipe for success in the world of hardware and business makers,” added Daňková.

The event takes place at the Prague Exhibition Center all weekend. The standard entrance fee for one day costs 300 CZK for adult visitors, 100 for a child. A family ticket for one day costs 700 CZK, but a two-day ticket is only 100 more expensive.
