The birth of a new human is always a very emotional event, even in a TV series. At that moment, another aspect must be added to the well-established stereotype of filming. Absolute safety when filming. After all, the little boy who played Vojtíšek in the series was barely four days old on the first day of filming.
For Lucia Černá in the role of Izabela, the last weeks of filming were very complicated, because a small belly pad suddenly became a bulky pillow, and above all she lacked personal experience for such filming. She was most afraid of giving birth, because she had no idea how she should play such a situation believably. The moment she was at a loss, the other women on the set had to rush to help. She didn’t get advice from the serial sister Tereza, but fortunately she also had Eva Burešová, who plays Vika’s stepsister, by her side. The mother of two still remembers her last birth vividly, so she was able to give the young first-time mother the necessary advice. And she was not alone, as Lucie Černá herself described it.
I was nervous that day. I’ve never given birth, so when I came on set, I asked all the women here who had given birth to come up to me and tell me how to play the contractions,

I got my hands on a four-day-old baby and every time I held him, I looked for his mother standing behind the camera and assured her with a look that I wouldn’t let him go. The baby was fine, but I had a lot of respect.
There are never enough children, and in such a long series, the creators saved a lot with them. Due to the impending end, we probably won’t even see a descendant of Tereza and Mark. Which is a shame, because Marek would certainly experience it a lot. Sid also talked about the child, but somehow it was forgotten. Apparently, we won’t even see Franta Kolman in the role of the father, because Sylva probably won’t make it either. At least the creators could punish the old bachelor Charlie a little and make Dominika pregnant. And maybe she could succumb to the charm of some romantic moment between Vika and Peter, and a nice plot could nicely close the series, which managed to maintain a decent viewership despite some very annoying characters.
